The story was written by Helen Fielding. It talked about the diary of the girl during 1 year (from Jan 1st to Dec 31st). Her name was Bridget Jones. She was in London and she was preparing for the New Year. Her mom wanted to her to come the Una and Geoffrey Alconbury's New Year's Day Turkey Curry Buffet in Grafton Underwood. Geoffrey and Una Alconbury are her parents' best friends. In the first day of the year she went to the Turkey Curry Buffet too late. When she came there, everybody has arrived. She met a lot of her parents' friends and their children. Then, Una wanted her to meet the man who was the son of her parents' friend - Malcolm and Elaine. His name was Mark Darcy and was one of these super-dooper top-notch lawyers. But at that time he was divorced with his Japanese wife who was very cruel race. So Una introduced Bridget with Mark. They talked together, and he realized that he didn't like to talk with her. He said that he should got something to eat, he left her to stand on her own. She thought everybody in the buffet was staring her and thought that why she didn't married and she repulsed men.
In my opinion, I have just finished 16 pages of this novel so I didn't have idea yet. At this time I think this novel isn't exciting and I hope that it will be better later.
